New Student FAQs:

  • You can book your move-in appointment through the housing portal here!

  • You can find our amazon store here! All items on this list have been approved for campus housing by the Department of Residence Life.

  • Upon arriving to campus you will check in with one of our team members, and they will provide further instruction on how to get to your building. There will be volunteers waiting at your building ready to help you park, and assist in unloading if needed. Please make sure to utilize a Campus Cruiser (a large box on wheels) to make your move-in experience fast and easy!

  • New Student Orientation (NSO) is a required program designed to equip you and your family with the information and resources you need to thrive as you transition to GCU. Orientation begins with the online module and continues in person during Spring Welcome Week.

  • If you miss your appointment move-in time, you will need to contact the Department of Housing Operations at 602-639-6240.

  • Make sure to check your GCU Student email often! We send you lots of information over the summer regarding your move-in appointment, new student orientation, housing, and much more!

  • After New Student & Family Commissioning, you will leave to attend your Orientation Group (O-Group). While you are in your O-Group, your family will stay in the arena and attend Parent and Family Orientation. Parent and Family Orientation (PFO) is for parents and family members to learn more about how to partner with the university while their student is attending GCU.

    *PFO is available in both English and Spanish.
