Every fall, Grand Canyon University invites families to discover Lope Life and learn more about our growing campus. Don’t miss out on the exciting event! At Family Weekend, you’ll experience your student’s unique journey at GCU and enjoy fun activities together. We are excited for activities such as, but not limited to, Family Weekend Chapel, Lope Family 5K, Student Market, and more!
Registration opens on Friday, August 1st
Pricing Information:
Adult Registration: $15.00
GCU Students: Free
Children 12 and under: Free
Family Weekend T-Shirt: $10.00 with pre-registration, $15.00 for late registration
*Some events may have additional fees depending on equipment or food purchases.

Lope Family 5K
Enjoy this years Lope Family 5k with your loved ones. All ages are welcome to walk or run this 3.1 mile event taking place across GCU’s campus.

Student Market
The family weekend student market this year is something you don't want to miss! There will be a variety of different student and sponsored vendors that you and your loved ones can enjoy.

Family Chapel
Join us for a special time of worship and reflection at Family Chapel. Gather with students, families, and staff as we gather to lift up the name of Jesus and hear an encouraging message rooted in faith and community.

Thunder Bolt Shopping Spree
One lucky winner will dash through the Lopes shop for this Thunderbolt Event! The winner will get to keep whatever they can grab in 30 seconds from the Lopes Shop!

Sunrise Swing & Breakfast
Sunrise Swing and Breakfast is hosted at the GCU Golf Course, located just 10 mins away from GCU's campus. Your registration includes: 9 holes, golf cart, range balls, breakfast and tax/gratuity. Starting times each day will be between 6:30 am – 7:15 am.

Lope Family Carnival
Join us for an evening of fun, food, and family at the Lope Family Carnival! Enjoy classic carnival games, festive treats, live entertainment, and fun for all ages. It’s the perfect way to make memories with your student and celebrate together!

Residence Life Socials
Join the Department of Residence Life across campus as they host socials to give an inside look at what your student’s life looks like, living on campus!
